![]() ![]() Ingredients can be personal, percentage matters, and bioaccumulation is something to consider. ![]() *FYI this shouldn’t surprise you, but I’m in no way a cosmetic chemist, dermatologist, or medical professional :) Consider this a starting point to dig further into your own research. 20 shades, full spectrum range, yes! I think the brand did a great job. There was no sliding off the face here! Overall, it lasted. It held on elsewhere where I applied it more sparingly. The coverage got a bit better midday when the natural oils of my skin released and I didn’t see much fading across the face. CLAIM: “wears throughout the day without settling into fine lines” ![]() From far away, it looked evened-out and natural, but up close and in natural light, my skin had texture that wasn’t very flattering. At the end of the day, finish was better than OK, but not great for my skin. Keep in mind, this could be a huge plus for oily skin types! I needed to seriously hydrate prior to pressing this on top if I was planning on covering larger surface areas. I realized after the first couple of tries, one quick swipe of a light moisturizer as the base left my skin looking a little flat (skin didn’t look like moisturized skin), especially in natural light. Spot treatment (small edits the brand refers to) looked more natural than when applying all over. When I’d build, things started to settle oddly, crease a bit under eye, and sit on top of my skin on cheeks/forehead. One layer gave lighter coverage and as a result, also gave more of a natural finish. Spot treatment was also looking good here. CLAIM: “all-over coverage, so you can make small edits only where you need them” To get a better coverage for my skin, I preferred using one layer as strategic, complexion spot treatment over tinted spf. It was super silky upon application and glided on top of my skin. CLAIM: “buildable light-to-medium coverage.” I could build it up and would absolutely say it followed through on the light-to-medium coverage claim. I’m not a cosmetic chemist, but after testing hundreds of products and going down way too many ingredient rabbit holes on the interwebs, this is what I’m thinking. I saw a bunch of emollient/occlusives for moisturizing along with many waxes which I think help hold the shape of the product and preserve stability. Dimethicone breaks me out, so I’m not a fan personally, but it could be fine for you! It’s a “preservative and antioxidant” used to “stabilize and prevent oxidation.” Will not recommend on using for dark circles.- BHT gets a bad rap, but I’m not concerned about it, especially when it’s at the end of the list.Absorbs extra oil and gives matte finish.Ĭons of bareMinerals Multi-Tasking Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20:.Will conceal the biggest problem areas on the face effortlessly. ![]() Pros of bareMinerals Multi-Tasking Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20: So this is a very good “supporting” product, but I wouldn’t give it the Award for the “Best Leading” product. This absorbs any extra creaminess or oiliness that might occur in the undereye area throughout the day and this technique just sets my concealer so well that it stays flawless throughout the day. The way I do try to make this work for me for the under eye area is that I apply my regular creamy concealers and I dab my finger in the BareMinerals concealer and just dab it under my eye. Its gets difficult to deposit it without it settling in the fine lines and creasing. Due to its powdery nature, the application is very difficult for an area like the under eye. I got this product mainly for covering that, but this is where the product fails. I have fairly clear skin apart from some redness here and there, but I suffer from heavy dark circles (blame my genetics). It also hides redness or discolorations that you may have, but there is where my issue with this product lies. First, the coverage that this product gives is amazing! It is full coverage and will hide most of the problem areas on your face whether they are permanent like acne marks or simply temporary ones like that dreaded pimple that appears out of nowhere overnight. The bareMinerals Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Concealer is a hit and miss for me. So, of course what could be the next product to follow up a foundation- a concealer. My Experience with bareMinerals Multi-Tasking Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20:Īfter using the Bare minerals Original Foundation which I love so much, I decided to give other products from bareMinerals a try. ![]()
